Five Frugal Things We’ve Done – Snapfish & Cashback

Five frugal things we've done this fortnight: Snapfish & cashback, and lots of gift cards!

Five frugal things we’ve done this fortnight: Snapfish & cashback

Snapfish & cashback sounds like a weird country duo, doesn’t it? Haha! Well, it’s been an eventful few weeks, with not so Little Balders arriving home just before the start of the school term and celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary! You can see my post about our wedding here. We’ll be celebrating over the weekend to come, but here’s what we’ve done over the last fortnight to keep things frugal.

Half price Snapfish mugs

I used Snapfish to create a commemorative mug for Homely Economics last year, and I wanted to print some more for my other projects and websites.

My order came to £52.94, but I got it down to £26.47 using a half price code! The delivery was £7.94 so in total I got all 6 of my mugs for £34.41.

A tip for printing photo mugs:

Snapfish has an option for creating matte finish mugs, and they are definitely worth an extra £1 as the texture and actual shape of the mug are so much nicer than standard.

Finding £11 Zeek credit in TopCashback reward wallet

Back in February I cashed out £11 from TopCashback as Zeek credit… and never used it! I decided to save it up until I needed it, and last week I put it towards a Primark gift card. Talk about amazing bargains – we got a jacket for Lord Balders for £2, which was a surprise for us as it didn’t have a price on it and was the last of its kind on the rail!

Curve rewards and referrals

So far I’ve racked up 151 Curve Rewards points, mostly just from doing our shopping at Tesco. My rewards balance is also showing £20 so far in Curve referrals, which means that I’ve helped four people to use this cool app and get £5 for themselves!

You can read my post about Curve and what it’s all about here.

Tesco gift cards from TopCashback

I know, so many gift cards this time! Both Lord Balders and myself had some cashback waiting in our TopCashback reward wallet, so between us we received £37.32 in Tesco e-gift cards.

Most of that cashback was earned from switching to Bulb, but you can actually get £50 when you go through this link. I didn’t know that at the time, so at least I maxed out the cashback by getting a bonus for getting it as a gift card.

Loyalty card win

I used £3.45 from our The Works loyalty card to part pay for a £4 book on paper cutting – it came to 55p. Now that was an unexpected bargain, as we had almost no idea how many points we’d built up!

Over to you…
